Chapter 002 Winterfest

AUPE Local 002, Chapter 002 members are invited to attend our annual Winterfest social event on February 7 at 6pm. We will be attending a virtual cooking class presented by local caterer Pei Pei Chei Ow.

In this 1hr+ cooking class we will cook along with Chef Scott Iserhoff and learn how to prepare two types of bannock and fresh jam – a staple in many Indigenous kitchens and families. While teaching us how to make bannock, frybread and berry jam from scratch, Chef Scott will share stories, Indigenous food knowledge and politics.

Space is limited and we expect this event will fill up quickly. Please RSVP here to secure your spot: https://shaw-fzwsh.formstack.com/forms/2022winterfest

We are able to offer Chapter 002 members a subsidized rate of $10. After registration closes, you will be contacted to arrange payment. This payment is non-refundable. While a spot will be held for you, registration is not confirmed until payment has been sent.

After receiving payment, Pei Pei Chei Ow will send you a Zoom link to join the event as well as a list of ingredients you will need to cook along with your fellow Chapter 002 members. The $10 fee is per device, not per person. You are encouraged to invite any family or friends you would like to cook along with in your home. This is an all ages event.
